The geographic position between Cuba and Porto Rico makes it the main tourist attraction of the Carribbean islands and the ideal place for the investments and commercial trades ..

Geography
The country of 48'442 km2 has a fertile, wet and mountainous territory. The basement contains  nickel, gold and silver.
The central cordillera crosses the country of the North in the South and shelters Pico DUARTE the highlight of the Carribbean islands in 3 ' 175m.
The country possesses 1 ' 633 km of shore.

Weather
In general, the temperature stays above 23°C during all year. The summer, she(it) fluctuates among 27 and 33°C, but mountains remain fresh.
The fertile soil of the valley is suited well for the agriculture and the hillsides of mountains are covered with forests

The Dominican Republic is a stable democracy. The country is divided into a national district which includes the capital and 29 provinces divided in told. The national holiday is on February 27
Economy
The new law 16-95 on the foreign investment shows that Dominican Republic intends to steer its economy towards the business and the international investment what will provoke a greater competition and its insertion in the international markets.

The tourism is the main source of currency for the country.

Population
8 million inhabitants, coming from Indian, Spanish and African. The capital Santo Domingo includes 3 million inhabitants.
The official lanque is Spanish. Bur many people also speak English and French.
The polulation is young: 60 % of Dominicans are less than 25 years old.
The currency is  Dominicain Peso. The inflation is catched at a raisonable rate for years.
